The Pompey Club is a championship 18 hole golf course overlooking magnificent Butternut Creek Valley, just 10 miles south of Syracuse, NY. The gently rolling hills of Pompey are 1700′ above sea level, 30 feet higher than Lake Placid. Our sunsets are second to none and on a clear day you can see Lake Ontario, sixty miles away. The golf course is maintained at a very high standard of quality and features four starting tees.

Format: Regular
Players who hit from Whites and are below 65 will be hitting from Whites.
Players who hit from Golds that are 70 and below and above 64 will be hitting from Whites.
Players who hit from Golds and are 70 and above and below 80 will be hitting from Golds.
Players who hit from Golds and are 80 and above will be hitting from Reds.
Long Drive will be individual for White Tee players hit from Whites.
Long Drive for all others hit from Golds on long drive only,
Close to pin for all others hit from Golds onClose to pin only,
We will be playing a Shamble: Combines scramble and induvial stroke play.
Each player will hit from the tee, and the team will play from the best drive. With one exception, must not be the same player drive from the previous player drive selected.
Each player must play their own ball in from that drive.
Each player must count the drive as their drive for strokes.
Teams with only three players get to have a player to drive twice. Must not be the same player from the previous player that went twice. Must rotate the player who going to hit twice. That player must play two balls in from the best drive, enter his score and a ghost score. Must rotate the players hole by hole.
